The Packmate brand was founded by a practical need for an efficient packaging friend. In twenty years, the small firm has grown into a global organisation serving over a dozen of the Fortune 500.

2000s

In 2005, Packmate exhibit on its first Interpack Trade Fair in Dusseldorf, Germany. The machines immediately stunned visitors as one of the best-in-class packaging solution. Due to demand for more machines out of the region, George's son, Kenway Lam began working full time. Specialised in programming and Industrial Quality Management from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he set up the export office in Hong Kong, which very soon covers the local sales and service.

In 2007, Packmate exhibit on its first PMMI show in Las Vegas, USA. The show was a success, followed by confirming a selected few agents and distributors for the USA market.

In the local region, we acquired a robust portfolio of some of the world's largest food and nutrition companies. Our machines supplied for packaging coffee creamer are running 24/7, single lane with an output over 100 bags per minute; which remain in operation today.

The 2000s also marked the debut of our social responsibility efforts. Médecins Sans Frontières was among our first corporation support.
